The challenge
Wood Meeting 2023 – the annual event dedicated to Reply partners – took place this November at Cannes' Debussy Theatre. We at Triplesense Reply created all the visual content for the occasion, from key visuals to a walk-in video, considering the location and context in the narration of the event. A project that successfully combined creativity and design with a strategic use of generative AI.
02
The process
After an introductory benchmark phase, the entire creative process was supported by AI. Starting from brainstorming, to the generation of images, up to the animation of a video to be projected in the theatre. The different tools we combined were essential to speed up the work and to stimulate the whole team's thinking.

Worlds meeting
With Wood Meeting, Reply arrives in Cannes. Two worlds, the tech world and the French Riviera world, meet, causing an abstraction and creating a short circuit. Hence the visual concept we followed: the glitch. A sudden change in a balanced system.

External theatre communication
The main key visual shows the Cannes staircase merging, through glitch, with key elements of the French Riviera. The image produced was used for the exterior panel of the Debussy Theatre, a very large and impactful space with which Reply was able to draw much attention.

Internal theatre communication
The first key visual served as a guideline for the rest of the materials. The same visual direction was taken to produce the signage and communication elements inside the theatre. We developed declinations that made the aesthetics of the event consistent with Reply's innovative spirit.

The walk-in video
Inside the main hall, the moment of the audience's entrance and the waiting moments between one speech and the other were accompanied by a walk-in video. On the notes of Dance the night, the concept of meeting worlds returns through morphing. The video was designed to fit a screen layout divided into three interconnected and matching sections. The use of AI was also central to the production of this video, played in loop in the auditorium.
