The client
Costa is a global leader in the cruise industry, renowned for delivering unforgettable experiences to its passengers. To celebrate the arrival of Costa Deliziosa at the Venice Lido, Costa enlisted Triplesense to create a special project to make the onboard aperitif a unique event.
The challenge
To capture the magical atmosphere of the Venice Film Festival and the charm of “Dolce Vita”, creating an unprecedented interactive experience that engages onboard guests in a cinematic and glamorous journey.
The solution
To surprise travelers, we used AI to flip traditional roles: for once, artificial intelligence is giving commands to humans, rather than the other way around.
In special video booths, the AI suggests short scenes for guests to act out, immersing them in glamorous, cinema-inspired backdrops. The experience is enriched by the guidance of a virtual concierge, ensuring each guest feels like a true star.
The concept developed by Triplesense revolves around the idea that everyone has a hidden celebrity persona just waiting to be revealed. To bring it out, we put artificial intelligence in charge. "Cody," the AI concierge, guides guests through an exclusive interactive journey using various kiosks installed on one of the ship’s decks. From there, guests are invited into dedicated video booths, follow AI-generated prompts, and act out their star moments.
Charming and approachable, Costa’s concierge speaks in a simple and engaging way, often drawing inspiration from the worlds of cinema and navigation. Cody's personality, tone of voice, and appearance were carefully crafted.
Entering the Video Booth
Guests find an interactive mirror monitor inside the booth, reflecting their image. A tablet provides multilingual instructions to start the experience.
AI’s Command
At this key stage, the AI generates a personalized prompt for each guest, suggesting a short scenario to act out, such as "You’re strutting down the red carpet" or "Wave to the paparazzi going wild for you." A custom-designed backdrop immerses the guest in the heart of the scene.
Prop Selection
Guests can select props to enhance their performance.Recording the Video
Guests stand in front of the camera and, following the AI’s command, record a 15-second video. A countdown timer on the tablet displays the remaining time.End of the Experience
At the end, each guest can download their video via a QR code, ready to share on social media, or repeat the experience with a new prompt.
